Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Financial services firm, Fidelity Investments, is planning to hire 100 new staff in the coming months.
The new jobs will be based in Dublin and Galway and will be primarily for software engineers.
Fidelity currently employs 1,100 people in Ireland. The company said that new recruits would go through a safe and enhanced 'on-boarding' process despite the COVID-19 restrictions.
All of the company's existing workforce in Ireland are working from home, during the COVID-19 crisis. Fidelity says that it has provided enhanced supports and benefits to its employees focused on time, flexibility and care services.
