Dutch online retail company Picnic will open a new distribution centre in Apeldoorn next month creating 450 new jobs. The opening was scheduled for December 2020, but it is moved to May to meet increased demand for online groceries after the corona outbreak. With the opening of the new distribution centre, 300 new employees are hired, in addition to which several new employees are expected to be hired in the following weeks; after opening, the distribution centre in Apeldoorn will employ 450 employees.
Picnic already has 4,000 employees at locations in Diemen, Eindhoven, Utrecht, Nijkerk and Rotterdam.
