Description
The Polish provider of travel and accommodation services eSky announced that it will cut 94 jobs throughout a collective dismissal programme. It implies that about 15% of the workforce that currently amounts 600 will be cut. The redundant employees will receive severance pay. The company undertook this internal restructuring as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic; eSky, like other companies in the tourist sector, has struggled with decreasing orders due to the pandemic since February 2020.
eSky, headquartered in Katowice, Poland, was found in 2004. Currently, the company employs 1,000 people worldwide, including 600 in Poland. The company offers its services in almost 50 countries worldwide. eSky is a travel meta search engine for lodging reservations.
