Description
The Polish retail chain Komfort, specialised in rugs, carpets, wooden floors and interior design accessories, announced that it plans to cut about 200 jobs throughout a collective dismissal programme at its units across Poland. The programme will affect both stores and warehouse staff. The company undertook this restructuring programme as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, as currently all stores are closed under the Anti-Pandemic Scheme. The company had only recently embarked on a phase of expansion with the opening of a new logistics center in Stryków near Łódź. Komfort has been operating in Poland since 1992; the company has over 160 stores across the country.
