Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The 2 Sisters Food Group, the UK-based food manufacturer, has announced that it is creating more than 100 permanent and temporary positions across the UK in factory operative and logistics roles.
The business expansion is mainly caused by the increasing demand for food products in the wake of the Covid-19 epidemic, and by the absence of large groups of existing employees due to illness or to the need for self-isolation. The company’s chief executive officer has launched the recruitment drive in a video message shared on social media, while 2 Sisters Food Group specified that selected applicants can be hired immediately.
The 2 Sisters Food Group is one of the largest food manufacturers in the UK and it also owns production facilities in Ireland, The Netherlands and Poland.
