European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Polish producer of furniture Pres Mebel plans to cut 142 jobs at its production facility in Częstochowa in the near future. The dismissals are associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. In accordance with the national law on collective dismissal programme, the restructuring programme was registered by the company in the local employment agency in Częstochowa.
Pres Mebel has been operating since 2015; the company specialises in the production of upholstered furniture. The company supplies its products to Agata Meble, a distributor of furniture and interior design accessories with 30 stores across Poland.
