Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The ship building group Naval Group has announced the recruitment of 400 people on permanent employment contract and for its site of Cherbourg (Manche). At its Cherbourg site, Naval Group designs, builds and maintains in service submarines and ships for France and for international customers. Recruitment is designed to meet the growing need to develop the skills required to carry out submarine programmes. The positions offered are open-ended contracts and work-study programs lasting at least 12 months.
Naval Group employs 13,429 people on 10 sites in France. Jobs creation announcements took place in March 2019 (100 job creations) , in January 2019 (200 job creations in Brest), in March 2018 (200 job creations), in October 2017 (100 job creations), in February 2017 (100 job creations), in 2012 (700 job creations) and in 2011 (100 job creations) . A restructuring took place in 2011 (150 job losses).
