Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Allvotec, the UK-based IT and Communications services provider will cut 300 jobs from the UK and offshore 200 of these jobs to Bulgaria to make the company’s operation more cost efficient.
The job cuts in the UK will affect permanent and contractor staff working in Northampton, Manchester and Aston in engineering, IT and finance roles.
Allvotec (formerly known as Daisy Partner Services) employs 1,500 people and provides technology and communications services for a number of large organisations in the UK.
